Every Performer Must Have...

Training

If you want to do truly great work as an actor, we encourage you to learn the tools that great actors need - the Sensory Process, Monologues, Character Development, and Improvisation.

Headshots & Marketing Materials

There is nothing quite as frustrating as having bad pictures. Too many wonderful, talented, models and actresses have wasted time in their professional careers because their pictures worked against them.

Many times, actors and models will scrimp on Marketing Materials, thinking their talent and skill will win over casting directors and agents. But what these performers forget is that it is their Marketing Materials that get them in the door so they can impress with talent and skill.

Like it or not, your Marketing Material are the FIRST impression you give to casting directors and agents - if your materials aren’t of the highest quality, you paint yourself as an amateur and will be treated as such.

First, commercial headshots are generally of the actor smiling. A strong commercial headshot is generally framed to capture the actor’s head and shoulders, but in some cases could include half the actor’s body in the shot. It’s more important to capture the best representation of you rather than how much of your body is in the photo. It’s important that when you walk into an audition that you look like the headshot you’ve submitted. You were called in because your headshot matches the physical needs of the character so if you walk in looking completely different you’ll have little chance of booking the job. Make sure that you don’t overly touch up the photo. Again, this is supposed to look like you.

THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT CAN BE CREATED BY YOUR LOCAL CHAIN PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO, WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, HOBBY PHOTOGRAPHER, OR SCHOOL PICTURE PHOTOGRAPHER.

Professional Headshot and Comp Card photographers work directly with model and talent agencies and know exactly what's required to get talent booked! If you are serious about having a career in the entertainment industry, you want to make sure that you invest in your photos to get the best calling card possible.

Proper marketing materials in the entertainment industry are a necessity. Marketing materials act as a representation of talent when they are not physically present and are one of the best means of self-promotion. They are the easiest and most efficient way to get new talent in front of industry professionals and a great way to help talent advance their careers. Since many times these materials are an industry professional's first impression of the talent, they should always be realistic examples of the talents attributes at their very best. These marketing materials allow the industry professionals to preview the talent without meeting them and can be used as a reference in the future. In addition, they also enable the agents to select the right person for each situation by narrowing down the selection.

RECRUITMENT AWARENESS

Your success is determined by personality, talent, a good appearance, and professionalism. Your marketing material, interview skills, and confidence are also very important in your success. At the end of the day, if you are not committed to receiving the training, guidance, and marketing needed to be a professional in this industry, you will not succeed.
